Our Local Offer
Every child is respected and treated as an individual to ensure their needs are met.
We are able to accommodate children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Our ground floor is wheelchair accessible and with no steps. Children aged 2 to 5 years are cared for on this floor. Children from 3 months to 2.5 years are cared for on the first floor which is accessed by a flight of stairs.
We have experience of working with children with a range of special educational and medical needs. We have experience in communication and interaction, physical and sensory impairment, behaviour and social and emotional development, learning and medical needs.
We have experience supporting children for whom English is not their first language. We will always celebrate and reflect the different cultures within our nursery.

Our Enhanced Provision
We have a visiting forest school leader who works with the children to explore the outdoor environment. The children have opportunities to cook outdoors, investigate mini beasts, make dens and collect natural materials.
We also run a weekly beach school where children have the opportunity to explore rock pools, navigate slippery rocks, search the beach for interesting objects and develop their understanding of the sea.
The children attend Dewdown House residential home every couple of weeks. Dewdown House is part of the Salvation Army, the children thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to socialise with some of the residents.
We have a visiting French teacher who works with the children each week. The children gain confidence in speaking French very quickly and it is a wonderful to see the children sharing what they have been learning with their parents.
We try to alternate the days of our visiting teachers each term so all children benefit from the experiences they offer.
The children have regular outings to the field, park, library, local shops and the local area.
Funding
We offer all types of funded sessions.
The funding pays for hours of attendance in the nursery and we charge for what is not included in the funding: enhanced provision, meals and snacks and consumables including nappies, sunscreen, all craft supplies and resources.
Childcare Vouchers
We accept all types of childcare vouchers which help towards meeting the cost of nursery sessions.
Childcare vouchers include Tax Free Childcare which is available through the Government Gateway.
